Camping les Ilates is located in Loix in the heart of the Ile de Re, only 750 m from the beach. The site is embellished by the sumptuous landscapes of Charente-Maritime. You will appreciate the heated swimming pool and the paddling pool with multi-slides as well as the jacuzzi.

To make your stay more enjoyable, Camping les Ilates offers a family entertainment program. To start the day, you can do yoga, jogging or wake up your muscles. A mini-club welcomes 4 to 12 year olds for fun, recreational and educational activities. In the afternoon, sports competitions await you: beach volleyball, petanque, etc. The establishment also organizes aperitif games on the restaurant terrace at the end of the day. Animated evenings take place at the campsite 5 to 6 times a week: karaoke, kermesses, Latino concerts, etc. The little ones will be delighted on the playgrounds with bouncy castles.

Large rat on pitch. Complained to reception twice. Was told we have no rat trap. I would have expected a business of this size to have a protocol for dealing with vermin.Was told it was normal in the country. Not next to my dining table it's not! Still reeling from poor treatment. May ask for money...

Firstly, the positives.
The location is fab, if a little remote and Loix is the loveliest small village imaginable (the bread and the pastries in the local patisserie are to die for).
Our pitch was excellent, secluded but right beside the centre of activities.
However.
The staff couldn’t care less...

Ile de re is beautiful. Flowers Ilates leaves a lot to be desired however. Of all the sites we’ve stayed whilst travelling france (7) this is undoubtedly the most basic. Booked a motorhome pitch with private facilities. A deposit of 150EUR was taken. This is usually held in pending and returned at the end of the visit (assuming the facilites have not been damaged). The facilities were awful, flooded and smelt so bad we could not use them. We received a visit first...

Staff very helpful. Shout out to Ryan who helped us find a Gaz bottle to replace ours.
The swimming pool was all mine for the two days we stayed here. Marvellous! Shame it doesn’t open until 10.00am.
