Located in the heart of the forest on the Ile de Ré, just 900m from the beach, Camping Au Val de Loire en Ré is ideal for family vacations. Take advantage of the aquatic area, featuring a heated outdoor pool, waterslides and a large paddling pool with water games for children.

There's plenty of family entertainment during the day and evening, not forgetting the Club des P'tits campeurs with its Souricette mascot for 4-12 year-olds. Teenagers also have their own club, open 2 afternoons a week in summer. You'll also love discovering the Ile de Ré by bike, thanks to the many cycle paths close to the campsite.

In summer, on your way back from the beach or after a relaxing day at the campsite, you'll find yourself at the snack bar, which also has a grocery store. Free WIFI is available at the snack bar, reception and swimming pool.

We stayed here for 10 nights and stayed in an Eco-lodge (would recommend) the campsite is very clean and the staff very helpful, pool area is great for the children and has a life guard on duty. The only down side is they did not repeat the activities in English so my 9 year old son did not alway understand...

A lovely atmosphere with a warm welcome. Good sized cabins even the smaller variety. Well separated areas with hedges in between for privacy. Space for children with safe play area, sandy soft ground, bouncy castle and sports court. Play area is sandy so slightly annoying but it includes two fixed Table...

Good: exceptional service, very helpful and understanding, nice pool for kids, pitches reasonably protected against the wind. Priced reasonably.

Average: amenities are ok, washing machine washes very hot and we witnessed several fights over has the next turn. The bar has breakfast but pretty much nothing...

We stayed here for two weeks with friends on an adjacent pitch.

Pros.

Good heated pool and splash zone is excellent for 8 and under.

Friendly, helpful staff.

Washing/toilet/showers very clean and tidy.

Camp silent almost at 11.30pm. (Beware, if you like a late night drink/chat you will undoubtedly...

If you're into bicycling then this a fabulous location, one can cycle everywhere even to La Rochelle The cycles at the camp-site were all gone so beware, book immediately you see them even if they tell you they will be there the next day ( they weren't)The static caravan was new and very nice and clean...
