The campsite has a magnificent water park with a 1250 m2 outdoor swimming pool and a 300 m2 paddling pool with waterslide. The water park offers fun and relaxation during the day, while in the evening it serves as a backdrop for entertainment: gala dinners, happy receptions and fun shows are held right next to the illuminated pools. Please note that sun loungers are available at an additional cost.

Just back from an excellent 10 nights in Sant ‘Angelo Village. We stayed in a maxi caravan easy which has 3 bedrooms. We used two of the these, as we are a family of 4. The outdoor kitchen and dining area was fabulous and used at all times rather than inside the mobile home. We booked direct rather... than through Eurocamp.
It was a perfect location between the pool and the quieter end of the beach. It had everything you could need for a family holiday. Linen was provided but bring your own towels. Mosquitos are an issue but use deet and citronella candles at night when outside and you won’t have issues.
Staff are overall very friendly, in particular the restaurant and supermarket.
Book your pool beds online through your account if you have booked direct with the campsite. It is busy in the peak summer period, €16 for 2 beds and an umbrella. Pools were spotless, with mornings less busy than afternoons. Good range of slides for smaller and older kids. Depth is 1.4 in deepest pool, so great for kids. Note the poll closes each day from 1pm until 3pm for quiet time. The beach remains open.
Pool bar and beach bar fairly comparative to prices in Ireland for drinks. Ice creams at the pool were €2, so not bad.
The beach is beautiful. We sat at the quieter end without sun beds. We had our own umbrella, which is needed in July. The beach chirunguito is great and offers a massive selection of drinks and ice creams. It sits at the water edge in front of the beach sun beds.
Restaurant staff and very accommodating and efficient given how busy the hotel is. Food is perfect for families and reasonably priced. The beach bar is fine for a quick snack. The pool bar serves nice coffee and gelato. The supermarket is well stocked and has a nice bakery and deli selling fresh sliced meats. There is also a shop on site well stocked with holiday and camping essentials.
The entertainment is ok, nothing amazing. The kids clubs and activities appear more focused for children from Germany & Italy. However, any activities the kids did join, the staff were welcoming.
The area itself is convenient for accessing Venice for a day trip. A bus stops outside the camping and brings you directly to the ferry.
The main village/town of Cavallino is around 15 minutes walking. The pharmacy is located there.
All in all a great place for families, really safe and clean. I would return for a relaxing chilled out holiday.
Only issue would be the need for more choice of restaurants/places to eat.
I rarely focus on negative reviews but please don’t ignore this.
I have been travelling to Italy almost every year for 35 years. This is the only place I have ever felt scared, threatened or belittled.
Two days into our stay we tried to hire a lounger on the beach. The prices are extortionate, but... nonetheless I did as the signs told me to do and tried to pay the beach attendant, Massimo. He wouldn’t take my money without my room key, fine but my husband had it and he was out for a run whilst I took the kids to the beach. Massimo said he would come back. When he came back I still didn’t have the key but gave him the number, in English and in Italian. He then suddenly decided I needed to pay at reception (a 10 minute walk away), immediately. Not a single sign anywhere says this, it says to pay the beach attendant. When I did not immediately leave the beach, my husband having now arrived but kindly getting the kids and I a drink from the beach kiosk, Massimo the beach attendant came over and stood over me (a young-ish) woman with my 5 and 3 y/o and screamed and shouted in my face. Everyone nearby was staring at us. My children were terrified. I repeatedly asked him to stop. He wouldn’t. I asked his name. He wouldn’t give it. My husband came back and I went to reception. Massimo insisted on coming with me the entire way, which was very threatening. When we got to reception he lied about what happened, saying I refused to give the room number and refused to leave (it had been less than 5 minutes since he told me to go to reception before he began shouting and before I did leave) or pay. I had offered three times, asking the prices for a day or a week. He failed to mention this.
Shockingly the woman on reception told me I was lying. She said Massimo is never angry. She let him go back to work and refused to acknowledge me. I demanded the manager. He too accused me of lying. By that time I was crying and everyone was watching me. The manager offered me one free drink. I said no and asked to pay for the lounger. He said it was free that day but the next day I had to pay. I refused and said we would leave the beach. He insisted on coming to the beach with me.
As soon as we arrived on the beach, Massimo approached and began screaming and shouting at us. I filmed him.
My husband and I asked him to be kept away from us. We were refused. We simply asked he work somewhere else on site or keep to one side of the beach and we would use the other. This was refused. Instead we were asked if we wanted him killed. The manager then left, via and twenty minute screaming match with Massimo on the beach for all to see.
When I later went to reception to find the manager and ask what they would do, I was told he had gone for a siesta, rather than deal with the situation. I spoke to Laura P, a female manager. I showed her the video. She laughed at me and belittled me. I was told it was all my fault, that I misunderstood the rules which caused the issue so I deserved it, that Massimo was hot so was allowed to shout, and that I couldn’t film him. I wrote down all the reasons she said it was my fault and repeated them to her and again she laughed at me, even when I asked her how it would have felt if it happened to her.
I was later threatened, through Eurocamp, with criminal proceedings if I posted the video online. Note they repost other, positive, videos from people staying there every day - those apparently aren’t criminal.
We tried to move to another location but the nearby places (all of which are far nicer we found and some are actually 5* - it is laughable that this site tries to say it is the same standard as Union or Marina Di Venezia) were full.
We avoided the beach, but each time we did go Massimo insisted on standing near us, which really upset the children. I took photos and sent them to the management and Eurocamp, but still they did nothing.
Otherwise, the place is fine but 3 star at best. The pool is lovely but the sunlounger rules mean you end up sitting on grass behind a hedge making it unusable for long.
The beach is amazing, but can be accessed from other, better, sites.
Staff in the bars and shop are fantastic. So hard working and fun! The gardeners are also amazing.
The paths and roads are cracked and warped, so they are dangerous and children fall over all the time. The restaurant is average and some meals served there are microwave meals.
Generally it is so geared to its German guests it is completely inauthentic. It doesn’t feel Italian at all. It is to Germans what Benidorm is to Brits.
The Veneto is one of my favourite areas in Italy, and in the world, but not this bit of it.
Please never stay here, and Sant’Angelo, I hope your management team is either replaced, or retrained.
Had a wonderful time with husband and 2 daughters (10 + 13). Had all amenities you could ask for. Prices comparable to camping in UK in the onsite supermarket and onsite restaurant/beach bar prices reasonable, couple of pizzas, beers, prosecco and fizzy drinks about 30 euro. Nice artisan street market... on site a few nights. Stayed in tent which was a bit dated but fine but the toilet/shower block were spotlessly clean. Needed to pay for pool set and beach set, shame that you couldn't transfer these throughout the day or just pay for half day as you had to commit to one or other to not feel waste of pennies. We used taxi to and from Marco Polo, about 100 euros each way but could have been cheaper (but probably more tricky with luggage etc) to catch a few buses. Bus stop outside of site, one way to Jesolo with lots of attractions, waterpark, science museum, aquarium etc and to the boat bus to Venice the other.
Our first family experience of camping in Europe though we love camping in UK and our first non all inclusive holiday abroad. Definitely do it again and not sure why we hadn't before!
Despite all the positives and overall a wonderful site, location and amenities we probably wouldn't return unfortunately because of how badly we got eaten by mosquitos! Even though the site were actively spraying and our regular application of sprays etc it did nothing at all and have all been itching non stop!
Just returned to the UK following a week long stay at Sant Angelo Village and what an experience! Absolutely fantastic time with first class facilities. Went with our 11 year old daughter who said it was the best holiday she’s been on! It really was the perfect venue for a family holiday as the place... was absolutely rammed with families from all over Europe! So many different types of accommodation - motorhomes, touring caravans, static caravans, tents, cabins, apartments etc………… Ours was a static caravan with 2 bedrooms but, thankfully, air conditioning! All very clean and tidy and only a minute walk from the pool area. Staff were excellent and speak many languages.
Flew into Venice (Marco Polo) and then took the bus from directly outside the terminal building to Lido di Jesolo (lots of helpful staff to ensure you take the right one) and then changed to the number 5 bus towards Punta Sabbioni. This one didn’t stop directly outside but the number 5 marked Via Barraca does (they both go to Punta Sabbioni - just slightly different routes) so get that one and there is a stop outside the park.
Lovely restaurant on site with the added choice of a pool and beach bar during the day. And if you fancied venturing out in the evening there were a couple of nice restaurants within a 15 min walk. Also a decent, if slightly small, supermarket which stocks everything you need for a stay. Lovely fresh pastries there every morning but get there fairly early.
Beach was first class with very fine sand and the water was lovely and warm. Parasol with 2 loungers cost €16 per day (same at the pool) and was very much needed as the temperature was in the high 20’s.
Also visited Venice which was beautiful but I’m afraid was very busy with lots and lots of tourists. Buildings were beautiful and was nice to get away from the hustle and bustle of the main attractions, somehow found a way to the San Polo area just by walking and not knowing where we were going! To get there, we took the bus to Punta Sabbioni and then the boat to Venice from there, all very easy but the busses and boats do get busy so plan ahead.
Cost - probably paid an average of around €15 for a main meal (in and out of the site) beer around €5 - €6 with wine slightly cheaper. Some pizzas/pasta dishes were around the €10 mark which was very good value.
All in all, fantastic time and wish we had booked another week!
Thank you Sant Angelo, we will definitely be returning! 😀
Camp site is lovely, great staff, pool great and stones throw from the beach, restaurants, shops market stalls all on site, entertainment is good and only q0 minutes to a supermarket, my only complaint would be the accommodation, family of 4 in a 4/6 eurocamp classic forget it, very dated and put a... dampner on the holiday. Better providers on the europpian stage
Euro camp please updated your mobiles. We really were so disappointed. I will not book with Eurocamp again as this was the 2nd chance we give them along with 2 other families, Jeff your rep was lovely. But investment in your facilities is badly needed.
