Oh dearie me.....

Rented a mobile home here as a quiet little bolt-hole away from the town for a couple of nights while working in Poitiers, staff were polite and friendly despite not speaking or understanding English, my terrible French made them laugh, but in a nice way.
The site is well maintained with all kinds of... activities during the summer months apparently, but as I was just out of season there was nothing open.
Parked right outside my mobile, which was handy, but be warned - these mobiles have saucepans, plates and cutlery, a TV, a coffee maker, microwave, fridge, mattresses, pillows but ABSOLUTELY NOTHING ELSE! No kettle, sheets, toilet paper, detergent, cloths, tea-towels etc. etc. Disposable pillowcases and sheets are available as an add-on at time of booking, but if, like me, you fly in to Poitiers and then rent a car, make sure that you call in to a supermarket on the way and buy everything you could need for your stay. Think that I was perhaps a little naive as I was expecting it to be fully equipped. Duh!
The one thing that let the site down badly were the swarms of drunken, noisy Polish migrant workers who were living in the mobile homes about 100 metres away, God only knows why, but they sang and shouted all night, every night, rode about the paths on a variety of unsilenced mopeds and generally made the nights hideous with their bellowing and ignorant behaviour. Three old Polish women approached me when I was sitting minding my own business, sipping a very passable white wine on my verandah on the second evening and in sign language said that they wanted some of my wine. I shooed them off, but they hurled abuse and threats.
Not what you expect from a tranquil French campsite, is it?.
Couldn't fault the service or location, but they really need to rethink the migrant worker situation before their reputation suffers.
