Looks the part but off season no point

The place looked nice. Accommodation was VERY basic but for what we paid can’t complain about that , although it didn’t have an oven only a hob and with it being self catering I don’t think that’s right. When we arrived they made us pay tourist taxes again , despite having paid them when we booked.... To hire bed linen it was £80 which is crazy so we had to take our own. It was off season in Spain, so not a thing on , no mention of this on the website, so nights were pretty dull , larger pool was also closed for this reason and restaurant/bar was only open two days through the week and not until around 5pm for drinks and 7pm for food which meant we couldn’t even buy a drink when we were at the pool. There was one bus in Càlig , and only way to get to it without walking nearly 2hrs was to walk down a long road with no pavement, it passed once at 8.30am and only two days a week to Benicarló , last and only one back was at 5pm , no taxis that took 5 people so had to get two taxis if we wanted to go anywhere. You really need to have a car to stay at this location as it’s very out the way with little to none access to anywhere with any life. Don’t go off season as the pool is freezing and there’s absolutely nothing else to do or even eat. Should really consider other customers who are using the facilities despite their schools being in. Looks the part but won’t be returning as we spent a fortune just on travelling about, we would have been as well booking an all inclusive in a tourist resort as we probably ended up spending just as much. Not to mention absolutely no way to get from the nearest airport, Reus, other than a taxi which cost us €210.
