Holiday resort De Bronzen Emmer is ideally located between 3 beautiful nature reserves: the Mepperdennen, the Geeserstroom area and the Mantingerzand. Each of these are impressive landscapes with unique features. At the park, you can relax in the indoor swimming pool, the sauna or under the solarium. The park borders the village of Meppen with its authentic thatched farmhouses and a village square with tall oak trees.
Holiday park facilities
Vakantieoord de Bronzen Emmer has a large swimming pool with a separate toddlers' pool. Both pools are open from the end of April to September. In fine weather, the sliding glass doors of the indoor pool can be opened and you can sunbathe on the sunbathing lawn next to the pool. Furthermore, the park has several sports fields such as a beach volleyball court, an all-weather tennis court and a boules court. There is also a deer meadow at the park.
Children's activities Holiday park the Bronze Bucket
During the May, Ascension, Whitsun and summer holidays (northern region), a recreation team is present at the Holiday Resort the Bronze Bucket. They organise and supervise various activities for all ages. Ranging from a lantern parade with campfire and crafts for the youngest to complete day programmes and sports events for the older children. Of course, children will also have a great time in the swimming pool or on one of the sports fields.
Restaurant Holiday Resort the Bronze Bucket
Vakantieoord de Bronzen Emmer has a restaurant where you can have lunch or dinner (open from May to September). There is also a sandwich kiosk open in the May holidays, at Ascension and Whitsun and during the summer holidays. The sandwich kiosk offers various freshly baked bread rolls and a small range of first necessities. Outside these opening hours, a sandwich service is available from 1 April to 26 October. Sandwiches can be ordered at reception daily before 5 p.m. and collected the next day from 9 a.m. onwards.
Surroundings Vakantieoord de Bronzen Emmer
Next to Vakantieoord de Bronzen Emmer is a riding school. This riding school has a large indoor riding hall and an outdoor arena. It is possible to bring your own horse or pony to the riding school. The province of Drenthe has the largest bridle path network in the Netherlands. Here you will find no less than 800 kilometres of bridle paths. There are various connections to these routes from the riding school. Nature lovers will also find plenty to do in the vicinity of the holiday park. Vakantieoord de Bronzen Emmer is located between 3 beautiful nature reserves, the Mepperdennen, the Geeserstroom area and the Mantingerzand. Here you will see sand drifts where Scottish Highlanders graze, streams and juniper bushes. Furthermore, Drenthe is of course known for its megalithic tombs, moors with sheep herds and of course old settlements such as Meppen, Gees and Oud Aalden. There are hundreds of kilometres of cycle paths and forests, but larger cities such as Emmen and Assen are also within easy reach. Visit these cities for a wonderful day of shopping. Also be sure to visit Dierenpark Emmen, known for its impressive butterfly garden. For children, a visit to the Verkeerspark in Assen is highly recommended.
