The Roompot Hunzepark vacation village is located in the green Drenthe countryside, in the village of Gasselternijveen, with all the amenities you could need. Rent a bike and explore the area, or relax completely after a nice walk. After a particularly exhausting afternoon, you can always relax in the heated outdoor pool.
Roompot Hunzepark facilities
During your stay at the Roompot Hunzepark vacation village, you won't be bored for a moment. Rent a bike and explore the natural surroundings of the Drenthe, take a dip in the swimming pool, play a game of pétanque or cast your fishing rod in the fishing pond. Fancy a picnic or a nice walk with the kids? No problem. The park has several children's play areas, catering facilities and a launderette. On a hot summer's day, you can also rent a canoe and take it out on the recreational lake. Of course, the park also offers free Wi-Fi.

There are plenty of activities on offer for your children. Take them swimming or let them play on the playground and sports fields. The possibilities are endless!
Restaurants at Roompot Hunzepark
If you fancy a quick snack within the park, you can always head to the snack bar for French fries or ice cream. Alternatively, there's a mini-market on site so you can always cook your own meals. Nearby Assen (20 km) offers a good variety of restaurants, so there's always something for everyone.
The Roompot Hunzepark area
The Roompot Hunzepark vacation village is located in Drenthe, close to the river. This vast nature reserve is ideal for a relaxing walk or bike ride. Emmen Zoo is only 30 kilometers away and also makes a perfect day trip, fun for the whole family. In Gasselternijveen (1000m), where the park is located, you can also visit the dolmens and the corn mill, De Juffer. In the opposite direction, Groningen (40 km) is just a 35-minute drive away, where you'll find a wide variety of stores, restaurants and activities to do.
Good to know
Outdoor swimming pool
The outdoor swimming pool is open from mid-May to mid-September, this can be changed due to weather conditions. When the swimming pool is closed (from mid-September to mid-May), the swimming pool of Vakantiepark Hunzedal (15 car-minutes) can be used.
Temporarily closed facilities
Facilities are closed every year from the last weekend of October until a week before Easter. Only the reception is open on Mondays and Fridays during this period.
Maximum 3 accommodations in 1 booking
A maximum of 3 accommodations can be booked in 1 booking. More accommodation in 1 booking is a possibility.

Pool maintenance
Due to maintenance work, the swimming pool at Vakantiepark Hunzedal will be closed from Monday 6 January 2025 to Friday 17 January 2025.
Student residence
From 2 to 4 September 2024, groups of students will stay at our park. They will hold meetings in the restaurant/café area. As a result, the restaurant will be closed to other guests from 17:00 on 2 and 3 September 2024. However, the snack bar will be open. Please note that the meetings may cause some noise.
Security deposit
A deposit will be charged for each accommodation. You can find the deposit on the invoice from Roompot.
