If there is always something pleasant somewhere, then it is at Recreatiepark de Tien Heugten. There are plenty of activities for both young and old, so no one needs to be bored. During the summer months, for example, it is great to sunbathe on the sandy beach along the recreational lake. While you work on a summer tan, the children have fun building sand castles. In addition, there is a cosy eatery that includes a pool table. For those who like to exercise during the holidays, there is a sports field. The mini-golf course offers a fun family activity, who will be the first to complete the 18 holes?
Children's facilities Holiday park De Tien Heugten
Holiday park De Tien Heugten offers a wide range of activities for children, especially during the Ascension, Whitsun, May and summer holidays, when a supervised children's club and a special recreation programme are offered. Outside these times, children can have fun in the outdoor swimming pool with a separate paddling pool.
Restaurant Recreatiepark De Tien Heugten
Start the morning with fresh bread, available in the park shop. All that swimming makes you hungry, so time for a tasty snack from the snack bar. In the evening, you can enjoy a snack and a drink on the terrace of Eetcafe. Of course, you can also go for a bite to eat in the nearby towns.
Surroundings Recreatiepark de Tien Heugten
The surroundings of this park also leave nothing to be desired. Thanks to its central location, you can go every which way in Drenthe and there is plenty to see. Are you a real nature lover? Then combine a lovely cycle trip with a visit to a typical village in Drenthe. If you prefer culture or discovering history, there are plenty of museums nearby. For example, visit the Hunebedcentrum, the prison museum or experience Kamp Westerbork. If you want more fun, the small-scale amusement park Drouwenerzand is highly recommended. For a day of shopping, visit Assen, Emmen or Groningen.

Facilities closed
The outdoor swimming pool is closed from 2 September to 15 June. The Eat Café and mini-golf is closed in the post-season.

Furthermore, (except for 1 accommodation) all accommodations have wifi from now on. There is a charge for this: - 1 day €2,50 - 1 week €10,- - 1 month €25,- 2 devices can use the wifi network. Wifi is available in the chalets, except in the safari tents. (charges are only for tourist pitches and the safari tents, not for the chalets).

Fishing is allowed in the recreational lake.
Fireworks-free holiday park
Please note that no fireworks are organised within the holiday park. However, the park cannot control any fireworks in the vicinity.
Animation Team
During the Christmas holidays there will be no animation team present at the parc. In 2025, there will be entertainment during Easter, Ascension Day, Pentecost, May holidays and Summer holidays.
