Summer or winter, it makes no difference. All year round, you can enjoy yourself on and around the Landal Hochwald park in Kell am See, Germany. From mountain bike tours and hikes to city and museum visits in the area. Highly recommended is the Airplane Museum in Hermeskeil. In winter, it's best to bring your skiing equipment, as there is a thick layer of snow about 30 days a year.

There are various indoor and outdoor activities you can take part in. For example, midget golf, bowling, volleyball and table tennis are sporting options. Or would you rather go fishing in the reservoir? In winter, there are cross-country ski trails and a toboggan hill, so dress warmly! A recreational programme is offered for all ages. The indoor swimming pool is also great for the whole family.

Children can enjoy water fun in the swimming pool with separate children's pool. When the weather is nice, the kids can splash around outside in the water playground. In the indoor play paradise, the kids will have hours of fun. There is also a large playground, an air trampoline and a water playground.
Landal Hochwald restaurants
For a cosy dinner, go to Brasserie Timber's with its viewing terrace. If you go for the easy meal, you can visit the takeaway and snack shop. Takeaway meals are available at Brasserie Timber's. If you prefer to cook yourself, you can visit the ParkShop for your groceries. The ParkShop has a wide range of products and is open daily.
Surroundings Landal Hochwald
Kell am See is located 200 kilometres from Maastricht in the Hunsrück low mountain range in Germany. It is located south of Germany's oldest city, Trier. Here you will find many remains from the Roman Empire, such as the Porta Nigra, the thermal baths and the amphitheatre. If you are looking for a special outing, take a romantic boat trip on the River Saar or visit the noble stone town of Idar-Oberstein with its rock church the Felsenkirche and castle ruins. In winter, the Erbeskopf ski slope is a must. At the top is a lookout tower, from where you can see the Rhenish slate plateau. Information on hiking, mountain biking and car routes in the area are available at the park. Don't bring your own bikes? At Landal Hochwald, you can rent different types of bikes at the Bikes & More. Want more adventure? Then head to Saarbrücken Zoo or Eifelpark Gondorf.
