Aelderholt is located not far from Emmen in southern Drenthe. The park of Landal Aelderholt is a suitable holiday destination for keen cyclists and walkers. In the vicinity you will find the Mepperdennen, a protected nature reserve where you can relax. For a museum visit or cultural excursion, the Drents Museum in Assen and Planetron Cinedome in Dwingelo are highly recommended. You can also spend a day shopping in cosy Emmen or visit its zoo. For children, a visit to Slagharen amusement park, Plopsa Indoor Coevorden or Kabouterland Exloo is quite an experience.
