In Egmond aan den Hoef, the ruins of Kasteel op den Hoef and the Slotkapel church are beautiful to see. About 4 kilometres from Egmond aan den Hoef is the well-known seaside resort of Egmond aan Zee. Here you can shop in one of the cute boutiques or take a walk on the beach and grab a terrace. It is also great to ride a horse on the beach and feel the wind through your hair. When in Egmond aan Zee, take a look at the national monument Egmond Lighthouse J.C.J. van Speijk. Want to know more about Egmond's history? Then visit the Museum van Egmond. The museum has a treasure hunt game for children. A little more action? Practice a water sport on the beach or go to the Flamingo Casino and try your luck. Also take a look in the village of Bergen, known for its art and culture. A visit to Schoorl with its quiet beaches and beautiful forests and dunes is also worthwhile. Between 6 April and 7 September, there is Kaasmarkt (Cheese Market) in Alkmaar.

The reception is open as follows: Monday: 09:00 - 18:00 Tuesday: 09:00 - 16:00 Wednesday: 09:00 - 16:00 Thursday: 09:00 - 16:00 Friday: 09:00 - 19:00 Saturday: 09:00 - 16:00 Sunday - 9:00-12:00 If the parks close before 4pm, guests will be given a code for a safe for the key. (Late check-in procedure)
