The indoor play area Het Piratennest offers children all-day fun. Children imagine themselves on board an adventurous pirate ship where they climb to the crow's nest, plunge into the ball bank and storm the boat carrouse. All facilities are child-friendly and safe, so you can watch your romping children carefree. Children will also have a great time in the swimming pool, which includes a 48-metre slide and separate paddling pool. For the little ones, there are also reading hours where storytellers tell the most exciting stories. There are also various games for young and old, such as farmer's golf and the smuggling game.

For your daily shopping you can go to the large Food Store and for lunch and dinner there are restaurants for every taste. You can enjoy and eat delicious food at restaurant The Grill Company. Do you prefer a la carte dishes? Then take a seat in Beach House restaurant and choose from the varied menu. For the little ones, there are special children's menus. The Schipperscafe is a cosy bar with a variety of beers. Of course, you can also play darts or pool here. For a small appetite in between meals, the Snack & Go is the right address. In the beautiful countryside of Drenthe, you can enjoy walking, cycling and driving routes. For example, take a trip through the Hoogveen reserve Bargeveen. If you have a GPS, you will have a good route planner at your disposal during a walk. If you want more active exercise in nature, then Nordic walking might be for you. Center Parcs Sandur is 7 kilometres from the centre of Emmen in Drenthe. Here you will also find WILDLANDS Adventure Zoo. Of course, a visit to the dolmens and the information centre about these ancient monuments in Borger should not be missed. A visit to Slagharen amusement park or Plopsa Indoor Coevorden will undoubtedly make the children very happy.
