First time experience=100% brilliant

We had never tried a holiday like this before as we usually get a hotel. This was an amazing caravan site - I use the term "caravan" loosely as all accommodations were really lodges and outstanding ones at that! Our lodge had plenty of space, all the mod cons, a BBQ area and a big balcony / terrace with... some amazing views. The whole site is set in beautiful woods and the lodges are wooden to complement the natural scenery. The whole site is very peaceful at all times of the day.
There are 4 small pools in the complex with ample umbrellas and loungers around. The pool never really gets busy until about 4 p.m. and was great for a chill out day / hour / morning / afternoon. The pools are set in wooden decking which again, complements the natural scenery.
A 2 minute walk from the pool takes you to the river area which is amazing! There is a huge lagoon type area there which is just amazing for swimming. There are ample loungers set around the river area for completed relaxation in beautiful and quiet surroundings.
The campsite has a brilliant clubhouse which opens at 6pm and closes at 10. Food there was of a good quality and we enjoyed the weekly traditional Corsican evening. We used the clubhouse every evening for a quick beer or two before walking into Solenzara. The clubhouse operates as a bakery between 8 and 10 a.m. and we used this service every day.
All staff working at Sole di Siri are professional, polite and friendly. We especially thought that the barman, the waitress and Lorris ( entertainment) were outstanding.
There is an animation team in the campsite that work week days only. It's not the type of entertainment you get in some Spanish hotels thank God; rather it is very low key (Aquagym, Minidisco, boules) and you are never forced into doing anything.
The campsite is full of like-minded people from France, the UK, Germany, Belgium etc looking for a lovely and relaxed holiday. No larger louts or idiot Brits thankfully- this type of holiday would never suit them.
The lovely marina resort of Solenzara and the nearest beach is about a 20 minute walk from the campsite along the river. We went into the resort every evening as it was stunning and the beach(es) were too die for! We even met the wild boar family on the walk in on a couple of occasions.
Quite simply, we loved this place and we had a holiday that immediately sits up there with our top 3 best holidays ever. We WILL return in a year or so as it was just amazing!
