Located in Corrèze in the Limousin region, the Château du Gibanel campsite welcomes you to a magnificent 60-hectare estate that combines historical heritage with a change of scenery. It is the perfect place for your family holidays. Its imposing 13th century castle and its lake surrounded by the forest offer you a natural setting typical of the Périgord. You will appreciate its beautiful heated swimming pool for a few lengths while the children will enjoy the paddling pool reserved for them.

During the school summer holidays, family animations are proposed during the day and in the evening and a children's club welcomes the youngest for recreational and playful activities. Leisure facilities are at your disposal and will allow you to spend good moments around a game of petanque, ping-pong or volleyball. You can also rent canoes or pedal boats and fishing enthusiasts can enjoy the banks of the river.

In terms of services, you will find, in the summer period, a grocery store with basic necessities, bread, pastries, and local products. A bar to enjoy cocktails and summer drinks with a snack service and a breathtaking view of the lake.

A lovely camp site, ignore negative reviews!

Visited in July with our 4 and 6 year old children, staying in a cabin and had a wonderful stay.

Plenty to do for the children, whilst being close to towns and their amenities.

A relaxed and family friendly camp site in a stunning location.

One thing they could improve on is communicating infomation...

Sad to see this beautiful campsite degrade over the years because of mismanagement

We already come here for many years now and the campsite itself is at a very beautiful location alongside the river Dordogne and with a castle on the campsite itself. The campspaces are big, green and with enough shade.

But sadly that are nowadays the only good things about the campsite. The toilet...

They will steal your money. Be very careful!! Read their Google reviews and check out their head office reviews. Done it to so many people. Head office is Sea Green Camopings. Disgusting human beings.

Avoid the food at the chateau

Would have given a higher score if the chateau hadn’t ruined part of our holiday and cost us a fortune, as we had to stay a night in a hotel, buy new blow up beds and sleeping bags. Very worried that their incompetence in food hygiene could kill a vulnerable person
