Would go again...possibly

My wife and I stayed here with our two boys (3 and 9) from 24th to 31st July in a Eurocamp mobile home. There were many positives and I wouldn't discourage friends or family from visiting, although the few negatives had quite a big impact on us...
First of all, the good stuff!
The pools are nice -... good range of depths and sizes for different age children and we were really impressed with the lifeguards, they were observant, proactive and happy to engage with customers. My eldest nearly drowned in our hotel pool the last time we stayed abroad, so this was massively appreciated!
The supermarket is well-stocked and the butcher counter is excellent: I managed to rustle up a couple of delicious barbecues, for which all credit goes to the quality of the meat and none whatsoever to my cooking skills.
Nearby beach is lovely, although to get there you do have to pass (very briefly) under a bridge that smells like the Devil's own armpit!
Evening entertainment is very late (at least for British kids) but generally very good. The Tanzania show we saw was incredible, I don't think you'd see better on a West End stage.
For all of these things, bravo Playa Bara. Sadly, the whole experience is somewhat let down by the lack of communication from the Reception teams.
We weren't really given any information about anything: the camp Reception team seemed to think we were exclusively the responsbility of Eurocamp, and the Eurocamp team kept bouncing us back again. The net result was that we didn't really know what was going on and had to figure it out by ourselves. Some basic information about activities, timings, locations and opening hours would have made life a lot easier and our first 2-3 days more enjoyable. We took the public bus into nearby Tarragona (great place!) on one of our days - assistance and information from Reception was virtually non-existent. Thank God for a kind and friendly bus driver who spoke excellent English. Without him, we'd probably still be dragging our two boys around the streets and alleyways.
Would I recommend this campsite? Overall, yes. More communication and consideration of the needs of English Eurocampers, however, would turn a hesitant endorsement into a resounding one.
