The natural environment

Ideally situated in a natural environment, the Parco Delle Piscine campsite is proud to promote sustainable tourism. The rolling countryside of the Sienese countryside is ideal for walking and cycling. Take the family out for a breath of fresh air in the Italian countryside, or stroll through the streets of the medieval village of Sarteano (5 min. walk).

Relax in the campsite's 3 naturally tempered thermal pools, fed by the Santa Lucia spring with its healing properties. The spring water gushes out at a constant temperature of around 24 degrees. One of the pools was renovated in the 1990s as part of a project by Haruki Miyagima, a famous Japanese architect and landscape designer.

We particularly recommend the poolside restaurant, with its typical Tuscan dishes and splendid views over the pool and park. Pici pasta, crostini, meat tagliate, wild boar dishes, but also delicious fish, accompanied by wine and local oil. A delight!

Bathing in thermal water? This is practically the only campsite that can promise you just that! All the pools are fed by the "Santa Lucia" spring, named after the ancient popular belief that the water had therapeutic qualities for eyesight. Very big camping location (too big to our personal liking). At this time of the year it was nearly empty and very quiet. We loved our week long stay here. The glamping site was nice, I just wish we had been able to get airco. It had two rooms and a small kitchen with a little deck. We landed in this campsite after a day's tour of lovely Montepulciano. The place is clean, the services are super. But that's just about it. Being September it had a strong end-of-season feel. In fact one of the swimming pools was shut down. When it came to paying there was no end-of-season feel though....
