Recharge your batteries in Italy with a stay at Mare Pineta, a campsite nestling in a natural setting overlooking the Bay of Sistiana. This campsite offers a breathtaking view of the Gulf of Trieste. The beach is just a 3-minute drive away and a small train takes you there free of charge. On your way back from the beach, take advantage of the aquatic area to cool off.

During the school summer holidays, family entertainment is on offer. The campsite is located in the heart of the Adriatic Riviera, famous for its beaches and shallow waters. Ideal for lovers of nature and walking or cycling, you can also explore the region thanks to the many excursions departing from the campsite.

To make your stay easier, restaurant services and a mini-market are available. This is your chance to enjoy traditional Italian cuisine.

Coming from Venice - Udine - Villach, take the A4 motorway to the exit barrier, then take the Duino-Aurisina road, exit 'Duino'. Continue following the sign seguendo towards Sistiana.

Important information: The campsite charges all customers (aged 0-99) an environmental contribution of €2.80 per person, per day. Construction work is taking place right next to the swimming pool and it couldn't be closer. The site is building a SPA and the work is expected to continue until the end of the season. It's extremely noisy six days a week.

I liked it:
quiet campsite, easy access to the beach with the little train. Don't forget to visit Portopiccolo (a luxurious harbour at 2 steps from the beach).

I did not like:
Equipment in the mobile home: no microwave and a small Italian coffee maker (limited for 4 people). Access to the pool is with a mandatory bathing cap. The only negative point is that

Excellent, we had a great week at this campsite, a few things to improve but nothing too bad. Beautiful views, ask about the beach beforehand. I recommend.

A beautiful family campsite in a good location. The mobile homes are well equipped and spacious. Bus stop in front of the campsite to go to Trieste and Monfalcone. Our contact person Jordi was great. The only downside was the lack of entertainment on the campsite.
We had a very good stay.

We had a really good trip to Sistiana staying at this site. Wonderful views and a lovely bay at the foot of the cliffs with shingle beaches.

Restraraunts on site were great and and the road train to the beach eased what would have been a steep climb.

Very close to Trieste, Grado. It’s located next to the Duino, which is good for hiking and the camp is on the top of the cliffs and has beautiful view. Italian camp near the Slowenian border

We use these camping when we needa quick weekend getaway in Italy. Trieste is allso near, with great coffe and aperol :)
Camping Village Mare Pineta is kept very well maintained and clean.
At our last visit we received a warm welcome by Zorica, the receptionist. Thank you for that :)

The camp is really expensive (paid double the price we paid for a camp in Austria providing the same services). Given that, you really expect basic stuff like toilet paper and soap. The excuse from the owners that you pay for what you need is dumb - then make the base rate cheap! We didn't have to pay...
