noisy!

Lack of English speaking for a campsite that advertises in English and attracts english speaking guests. Large groups of teenagers. Noise very late into the night. Poor restaurant hours.
We stayed, camping, for two weeks in Aug 2023.
We picked this campsite for its easy access to the beach and great... facilities.
Yes the beach is 15 mins walk. Yes the pool complex is amazing. Yes the shop is great and well stocked. We had requested a large pitch (as we have a big tent) we drove to find our pitch, when we found it, it wasn't large at all, and had a deep gully right down the middle. So we drove back to reception and asked for a big pitch. After some 15 mins of standing there with zero communication we were told a new pitch number, and we drove to that, it was a bigger pitch.
THE PITCH was very hard and very stony. Luckily we had three sort of pegs, plastic V pegs, aluimimum hard ground pins and 200mm concrete bolts with a cordless impact driver. The concrete bolts were the only ones we could get right into the floor and on some cases even they wouldn't go into the ground. The whole top surface was like big type 1 mot stones, barely any grass at all. We spent our whole stay wearing shoes as it was impossible to walk on the pitch or in our tent barefoot.
The pitch was open to the roadway as both ends and one side had bushes that separated it from a pathway. This made the pitch quite noisy with vehicle and foot traffic. THE BINS ARE MILES AWAY, if you want to dispose of your rubbish, on this site, it's VERY likely your have a very long walk, or bike ride, or drive. There are very few bin areas. We have a portable toilet and as far as I could find there are only one ELSAN point, so bad luck if your on the other side if the site as its a very big site.
No there isn't any toilet paper, often there wasn't hand soap. Yes the taps are infuriating, with sensors that often don't work, or the tap only runs while your hand is swiping the sensor. Yes they do have the same sensors in the washing up areas which is pathetic and a joke to do your washing up with.
No the toilets are not cleaned or checked regularly
Depsite language barrier the staff at the kids club were great with our daughter.
My issue with the site is its lack of spoken English, yes I know we are in France and French is spoken, but its NEVER been to a site where other languages are not somehow catered for. No dutch, No German, no English. The site does have many non French guests staying. The night time animation entertainment is all in French, announcements over the PA are all in French, the safety instructions before the foam party are all in French. The quiz that was played in the bar area was all in French. If you goto any noticeboard to see what activities are on , it's all in French, look on the door of the kids club to see what's on for the kids, it's all in French. Yes I know nowadays you can point your phone and get a translation, but this dosent work for bingo being played in the bar while football is on the big screen. And a member of the team is calling out the numbers for the bingo, in French, but just in French. So if you don't have a good comprehension of verbal French numbers and can't even play along at bingo. Every early evening two Animation members travel round the campsite in a golf cart with a speaker playing party music and obviously saying what's happing that evening at the animation, well I assume that's what they are saying, because again it's only in French. So ever evening my six year old would ask me "what are they saying, what's happenong" and every evening if just have to tell her I didn't know. Because, also, if you look up on the APP, which is in English, you goto activities and find TODAY and it lists everything there, but yes it's all in French. So so so so frustrating.
TEENAGERS AND NOISE, big groups of teenagers around the campsite during the day and every evening. Around the pool, the park, the toilets, the multisports area, the kids club. With portable speakers blaring, shouting and screaming till midnight or 1am and sometimes much later. There is NO curfew on this site, its the noisiest site Ive ever stayed at. There is no security or they are never about or seen. Some guests are VERY noisy in and around their pitch and there is nothing to be done. Going to the toilet or for a shower later in the evening is often and uncomfortable experience. The site has numbers for the police and ambulance for emergencies outside office hours, no out of office security number.
One morning staff or workmen were singing and shouting in the pool building from 4.30am till 6.45 this was echoing all around the campsite. Impossible to sleep or ignore. I messaged thebcampsite about this but never recived more than an automated reply.
THE RESTURANT, is expensive and operates short hours for lunch and dinner. We sat at an empty table at 8.30 and after about 5 mins were asked if we had booked as this was a reserved table.. as said we hadn't booked and we we asked to move, but told the resturant wasn't seating anybody that hadn't booked, even though there was plenty of empty tables. I asked if we could just have desert or icecream and were told no, only with a meal, which we couldn't have as we hadn't booked. This was 8.30 and an hour of service remained. Very disappointing, we moved 5ft to bar table and ordered ice creams (haha, bit of a joke really and very embarrassing) We booked lunch for a couple of days later, where we had a child's meal and three adult meals, and two deserts, came to €93, so very expensive, this isn't Disneyland. We ate a full lunch with drinks and deserts at a lovely beachfront restaurant in St Jean de monts for less that €60
I offered my feedback to reception upon checkout and they weren't interested and told me to "write it on Google"
UNFORTUNATELY I CANNOT RECCOMEND THIS SITE. TOO NOISY, PRACTICALLY ZERO ENGLISH TRANSLATION. NO TOILET PAPER.
