AVOID THIS PLACE!!!

Two friends and I travelled to the alps on our motorcycles, and stayed at this campsite back in 2016. The location was great and we had a great time. I rented a mobile home and the other two camped next to it. The young lady that helped us was fantastic.
Fast forward to 2022 and the three of us with... another three friends (all on motorcycles), decided it would be a good place to be based again. Given our previous experience we didn’t think there would be any issues with space so did not make an advance reservation. BIG MISTAKE. We waited in reception for around 15 minutes before even being acknowledged by the woman behind the desk. When she eventually finished her conversation with another lady and did talk with us, she said the computer system was down BUT that they were full and without a reservation they only had a single pitch available. Fair enough. It was our error not making a reservation, so we asked her if it would be big enough for six tents and six bikes. She said yes. SO we paid the cost for three nights in good faith and she showed us when the pitch was. We rode over to it, and found it to be a small space in between two motor homes. It was no where near big enough and so we went back and told her. She said that was all they had, and so we asked for a refund; and we would then have to try and find an alternative campsite. Her simple reply to the refund request (because the space was not fit for purpose) was a simple “Non”. When we pressed her on the matter she kept refusing to even consider a refund. After asking several times, (and despite telling us that was the only space they had) she then told us that they had a ‘field’ available which we could use. We then asked if we could be refunded the extra we had paid for the basic field cost. The answer was also “Non”. We looked at the location but was very exposed with no shade etc, and so we declined. So we decided to get back on our bikes and find an alternative campsite. Also when trying to find another site, we went over to the ‘bar restaurant’ area that was all closed up. So we could even get a cold drink whilst looking!! Finally to add insult to injury my friend who had paid for the ‘pitch’ discovered when looking at the tariffs he had been charged for a pitch with electricity, so we had even paid more than we should have.
The lady on reception was rude, and displayed a ‘couldn’t care less’ attitude to us. This reflects very badly on your site and in addition to the lack of facilities we will never be returning and would recommend any other visitors to avoid this place. TERRIBLE experience overall.
FYI: We managed to find an alternative campsite nearer to Annecy and the lake. They were also very busy, but managed to offer us two large pitches and a two bedroom ‘safari tent’ that was ready built. This gave us more than enough space for the six of us and our bikes. The place had a fantastic swimming pool, bar and restaurant; and overall the staff were incredibly helpful. You could learn a lot from them.
