Nice site but customer service below par.

The site itself was lovely, nice and clean. The customer service by Marvilla Parks however was not up to the usual Eurocamp standard.
We booked the 2 bedroom Ultimate accommodation with hot tub. Marvilla Parks contacted us 10 days before arrival to say hot tub won't be available due to drought conditions.... We were offered a small discount (or the option to cancel or move to another site/area, but that was clearly not feasible with non-refundable flights/car hire booked and at such late notice there was nothing else similar available elsewhere anyway). We arrived to find that the hot tub hadn't even been installed, so there was clearly no intention of ever actually providing this. Someone from Eurocamp prior to arrival had let slip that hot tubs hadn't even been installed at some times, so we expected this might be what we'd find on arrival, and the advertising photos look like CGI. Marvilla Parks proceeded to lie and said oh the hot tubs have just been moved to another site, but if there had previously been a hot tub installed (which in theory there should have been up until the point they notified us), there would certainly have been evidence that it had been there (i.e. dead grass)! We wouldn't have minded as much if the hot tub was there and there was a genuine reason we couldn't use it, but don't lie to us, it leaves bad taste.
Our booking had linen included, but on arrival only one of the rooms had been made up, with linen and towels provided for only 2 people. We arrived early evening and reception was closed by the time we got back - there was no out of hours contact, so had no choice to put our toddler to bed with no linen. It then took 2 visits to reception the next day to get the linen and towels - no apology or care. We finally got it at 7pm the following day.
The kitchen was well equipped, although note there is definitely no oven (Eurocamp site said maybe/maybe not). The hot plate gas BBQ outside was great. No chairs outside, just a bench & table, and 2 sun loungers - this was fine for eating, but not comfortable for sitting out in an evening. We purchased some camping chairs from GiFi.
The master bedroom is described as having "much more space around the bed than standard mobile homes" - Don't be fooled, there was barely space to squeeze around the bed to get to the other side. It was less spacious than other similar standard accommodation we've stayed at with Eurocamp, but the outside space was very good.
The highlight of the site was the waterpark. Great slides and lovely pool. The 'speedos' rule wasn't enforced at the pool which was appreciated by some! No bar/food allowed on the pool complex, so you do have to leave if you want to get a drinks or snacks. But that did keep the area really clean. The bar service was great, takeaway food was average. Decent small shop on site, not overly expensive, but it's also really not far to get to bigger supermarkets (Spar is walkable, very good Intermarche only 5 minutes drive).
The 6:30pm mini disco was great for kids, but the 'nightlife' wasn't ideal when staying with a toddler. One Friday night there was a DJ and thumping base until 1am. We were located about half way between the entertainment/pool complex at the entrance to the site, and the beach - definitely request to be close to the beach end if you want a good nights sleep.
Overall it was a nice site, but wouldn't return to a Marvilla Parks operated site, and questioning whether we will return with Eurocamp either - maybe we got unlucky, but this was below the standard of service we have come to expect from previous experience with them.
