The Camping Les Châtaigniers is located in the heart of the village of Ribes, in the south of Ardèche. It welcomes you in a family and friendly atmosphere. You will stay in the middle of the vineyards, in the shade of the chestnut trees, in a quiet and picturesque setting. On site, you will benefit from its outdoor swimming pool.

If the campsite Les Châtaigniers offers few sports and leisure facilities except a small playground for children and a ping-pong table, many activities await you in the surroundings. The holidaymakers will be able to indulge in water activities in the Gorges de l'Ardèche: swimming, fishing, canoeing. From the campsite, you will find hiking trails of all kinds. We were delighted with the campsite's unpretentious service. The mobile homes are clean, well equipped and laid out and are all in the shade of chestnut trees (a welcome breath of fresh air in the Ardèche!). The view from the reception terrace is sublime (you have to go there to see the sunrise). Special mention should be made of the swimming pool, which we found to be top-notch: a "swimming corridor" format, with a section for toddlers and a section for older children, sunny in the morning and in the shade of the chestnut trees in the evening, just brilliant!
The owners, who are very welcoming and willing to share their sightseeing tips, simply offer a welcome drink and a potluck dinner. We weren't looking for a campsite with entertainment, but this was more than enough for us.
Les Chataigniers is a small campsite with all the comforts of a large one!

We enjoyed our stay and thank you to the owners for their warm welcome and kindness. We will miss the peace and quiet and the song of the cicadas.
