Situated on the banks of a river on the route to Santiago de Compostela, Le Saillet campsite welcomes you in a calm and relaxing atmosphere, on the banks of the river Le Gave de Pau. There's a lovely swimming pool where you can do a few lengths and relax on the deckchairs available.

In July and August, the campsite team offers creative and fun activities for the younger ones during the day. For the rest of the family, there's a choice of walks or bike rides to discover the beautiful countryside around the campsite. For the more sporty, there's a rafting base within the campsite (run by professionals) offering white-water activities (rafting, canoeing, hydrospeed). In the evening, world music shows and concerts are scheduled.

As for services, there's a snack bar with takeaway facilities. A bakery, grocery shop, pharmacy and post office are just 2 minutes' walk away.

We stayed here for 5 nights in August 2024 - family of 3 plus caravan. We chose this as the reviews were good and it was on the foothills of the Pyrenees which suited us rather than having to tow the caravan too far.

By chanse there was a bungalow left free so for 20 Euros more we had a beatiful accomodation,being two in a placement for four!Otherwise no private toilet and running water.....in a very small rulotte.

We stayed here for 5 nights in May and 5 nights in June and could not rate this site highly enough. Firstly the owners are exceptional, very welcoming and always on hand for anything you need. Nice riverside site. Lovely friendly site owners. Pitches are large with hedging for privacy. Take care were you pitch as the weir sounds like Niagara Falls if you are opposite it. Swimming pool is a bonus but has no sun beds by it to relax on. It isn't easy to have a quiet swim unless you go at 10 am...
