The campsite le Malazéou is located at the doors of Ax-Les-Thermes on the edge of the Ariège river, in the Ariège Pyrenees. It is set in a 6ha sunny or shaded park with a view on the surrounding mountains. The site welcomes you in a green, family and peaceful setting. It has a heated swimming pool.

On the spot, the campsite proposes zen activities for your well-being: yoga, muscular awakening and breathing. It provides you with various equipments for the practice of sport and also board games. You can also go for a walk around the campsite. Take advantage of the various virtues of the thermal springs located at the edge of the site. In July and August, spend evenings with family or friends around a concert or a show. A children's spot is on the program for sports and play activities.

On the service side, a snack bar equipped with chill-out sofas welcomes you all day long in a cosy atmosphere. It also offers drinks on its terrace next to the pool. The site also has a reading and television area. The restaurant offers Pyrenean dishes: cheeses, cold cuts, pancakes, etc.

In the event of heavy rain, rapid flooding of part of the campsite could occur, the safety measures to follow are: - Leave on foot (leave vehicles behind) - Take only your identity papers, currency and most precious objects with you - Leave camping equipment on site - Assemble in the car park opposite the reception

Useful information

Le Malazéou campsite reception is open every day. During the low season, reception is open from 9:00 to 12:00 and from 16:00 to 19:00. During the high season, reception is open from 09:00 to 20:00 non-stop. In the event of a serious problem or accident, customers can call the emergency number 112. The Le Malazéou campsite is under video protection. Strictly personal magnetic cards are issued to campsite guests to open the gates. The closing times specified above apply during the high season (July and August).

The Good plans of the establishment

Within the Wellness Sport Camping grounds, the Annexe restaurant serves local cuisine made with fresh produce. In the dining room or on the terrace, you can enjoy convivial cuisine and Braséro evenings!

From June to September, the heated outdoor swimming pool at Camping Le Malazéou is 12m long and 8m wide with a depth of 80 to 140cm. For lounging or watching the children, deckchairs and parasols are also available. A paddling pool is available for children's enjoyment. Please note that for reasons of hygiene and to save water, swimming shorts are not allowed.

We loved the peace and quiet. The campsite restaurant with great staff, where we ate well. There are a few games missing for the little ones (6 years and under).

The campsite is in a perfect location for Ax Les Thermes ski resort approx 10 minutes drive away. The staff were friendly and efficient. The only fussapinting thing was the toilet /shower block we’re not clean and very basic.

Nice environment and well located for a 4 days break. Ax city is very close ( nice walk along ariege river - 15 minutes). Free Shuttle also available. Excellent restaurant in the camp. We booked a chalet. Clean and quiet for a nice stay.

Average camping: lots of spots for tents, but most under pine trees with no grass. Toilets and showers were okay, not very clean. No toilet seat, which is not unusual for France, but we find to be annoying. The bar had good cocktails, food was very average, not much taste. The service was very dependant...
