Be prepared, this is VERY French

First off, do NOT apply US standards to this hotel. You will be disappointed!
1.) When our group arrived, there was nobody at reception. We waited for about five minutes until a hurried lady showed up and provided us with rooms keys.
2.) We had reserved a room that included a Queen and a twin bed,... so that our daughter could have her own bed to sleep in. The room we got had two twin beds.
3.) Our friends had reserved a family room that was to included bunk beds - but received the same set-up as us, leaving absolutely no room for their two children to sleep.
4.) We went back to reception to request a change of rooms. There was nobody there. We waited for ten minutes and nobody showed up. The line grew to eight people and still, nobody came. I finally spotted the receptionist in a near-by restaurant having dinner. She could see the long line at the reception but was not interested in coming over until one of our group walked to her and told her that we had a problem with our rooms. She slammed her glass down and walked over, declaring that we had gotten the rooms we had reserved. After checking her paperwork, she conceded that she had given us the wrong rooms. Our friends, with two children ended up getting the only available family room while we ended up with the two twin beds. The lady gave us a baby crib which, however, was way too small for our five-year old. We made do, though.
5.) The lady was nice the rest of our stay - she must have had a bad day, but her actions made for a horrible first impression.
6.) Rooms were super small and horribly outdated - think 1970's. Bathrooms were updated, though.
7.) Rooms came with A/C which worked well but left the room smelling very moldy.
8.) Breakfast is expensive - but stores and a bakery are in walking distance and MUCH cheaper.
9.) The pools are great but the water slides have weird operating hours. Also note that you will NOT be allowed to swim with swim trunks or board shorts. You MUST wear bathing "slips" made of a stretchy material that conforms to your body. Think "Speedo" - although they don't have to be super tiny.
10.) Don't expect ANY English - we can manage in French but without basic knowledge, interactions would have been much harder if not impossible. All activities are in French only.
11.) Cleaning staff was EXCELLENT. They were on top of even the smallest issue and recognized that we were traveling with a child. Thus, they left extra kid blankets and fun sheets in the room to make our daughter more comfortable.
Although this was not horrible overall, I would not return to this hotel. There are better places available for less money. The premises mainly cater to campers and as a guest in the hotel section, you are really just an afterthought. Our stay was just okay and if the rooms had only been 50 Euros, I would think that I received a fair value. Anything above this price, however, felt like a bit of a rip-off.
