We think it is surprising to see all the empty pitches on this campsite. It has all the amenities that a campsite needs but it's not busy at all. OK! There's a lot of good things to say about this campsite, but mostly it's used as a stopover due to it being so close to the motorway. I have to say that all staff were very helpful & friendly. A very pleasant campsite with spacious pitches and nice clean sanitary block. But 18€ for the first night rather than the ACSI advertised 14€, so a 28.5% hidden price hike gets imposed on you when you turn up.
Turns out it’s a municipal site so local politicians make silly, uncommercial pricing...

Why a booking charge?

First of all, be aware the reception is closed 12.30 until 15.00 so no checking in until then - either for the Aire or the campsite. Advertised prices are 11 euros and the site 14 euros ( if you have an ACSI card). However, you are charge a 3 euro “ booking fee” on arrival! Just don’t understand...

Just off the N10 a nice quiet camp site about 5 klms north east of Angouleme. A choice of hard stands or grass pitches. Free wifi. Plenty of cycling routes. Leisure pool close by with discounts for campsite guests. There is also a restaurant onsite.
