Great location. Reception staff not great and a couple of annoying details.

Location wise this is great but probably wouldn't recommend this without a car. Campsite was clean and tidy, not overly packed (and we went mid August). We booked via Eurocamp. We have done approx. 10-12 Eurocamp holidays over the past years, so we have relevant comparisons, the best thing about this... site is the location. It is likely that we will come back to this area again, this was the third time we've been to this area, but we would not stay here again if it could be helped.
When we arrive at a Eurocamp site we are used to finding the green shirted Eurocamp reps and they are usually very welcoming and helpful who can't do enough for you. On arrival at this site we walked into main reception and we met by a couple of teenagers / early 20's reception who gave us the impression that they went out of their way to do as little as possible for you! I can't pick out anything in particular but we just felt we had annoyed them by turning up and asking to check in.
We stayed in a premier static van, that sat (very) close by two other vans - in a sort of 3-van cul-de-sac. Obviously each van had a car but they was hardly enough space for two cars let alone three. Each family had to have a family member acting as a banksman each time one of us wanted to move a car. Between us, we got into the routine of one of the families leaving a car in the main car park and walking back to the van.
The van itself was nice enough and modern (though not as big as the one we had stayed in the week before in the Ardeche region), it also had a nice decking area that included an L-shape sofa and a place to eat - that was undoubtedly the best thing about this van (and the site).
The van had no cooker and no BBQ, I guess that may not be a problem for some people, but we like to cook for ourselves as we have a couple of teenagers and keeping them fed is a challenge! First time we've not had proper cooking facilities at a Eurocamp site, you do get the combi microwave but......
Couple of other small things about the van, ridiculously small bin - it would need to be emptied 3 times a day (maybe they had shares in bin bags!) in the end we put it outside and just had a dustbin liner in the van. Shower - the holder didn't stay in position (was broken) and was held in position by a zip tie (not a bad solution) but left with a razor sharp point that could easily, and nearly did, slice open a finger. Electronic door lock - not really necessary and just an annoyance, particular as you were only allowed two electronic keys per family. Entrance barrier (the one on the side near the bike hire) - supposed to work on ANPR but hardly ever did, you had to go and get the daily code (from miserable reception who each day insisted we had told them the wrong registration). Most of the time you either waited for a car to come out so the barrier was up, or the guy in the bike hire place would enter the code or a passing worker or even just another guest would enter the code for you. In the end it became a bit of a sport watching people trying to get their car in - would they get in before you got to the barrier to enter the code for them??
Pool area is fine, clean, and wasn't overly busy, just a bit basic. You do still get people putting towels down at 10am and not coming back until after dinner, life guards are told by guests but they don't do anything - despite they being warning signs that towels will be removed. I saw two French families arguing over a sunbed, the son had been down to 'save 5 beds' but then left. The wind blew the towels off the beds and one was taken by someone else. When they returned the discussion was that she had taken 'their' sunbed! Kept me entertained for a while, love people watching!
Supermarket on site - didn't use it extensively, shopped at the large supermarket in port grimaud, whenever we went it had what we needed. No complaints with this it was what you expect from an onsite supermarket.
Summary, great location for exploring the nearby towns, St Maxime, St Tropez, Grimaud old town, the Port itself. Would recommend a car. Decking area on van was great. A few annoying things about the site, wouldn't rush to come back. It was ok - but nothing more - certainly not a bad site.
