Excellent campsite - a Real Gem

Really warm, welcome despite arriving late because of traffic. The owners speak good english/
We were camping as a family in a tent.
Nice flat pitch, sheltered and shaded (needed as temperature when we were there got up to 36). Two very clean amenity blocks nearby, with nice hot showers.
Swimming... pool was lovely, never too crowed, and the large spiral water slide was good fun. There is also a smaller children's pool.
Loads to do in the local area and some stunning scenery - huge numbers of fortified chateaux / castles (or Bastides as they are properly called) along with walled hill-top villages. All the local tourist sites were pretty cheap to get into, and the locals were very welcoming - we arrived a one castle about 2 hours before closing time and they let us in for free as it was 'nearly closing time'. We had a day trip out to the world famous Lascaux caves and also some smaller cave dwellings nearby which we would also recommend.
A little bit more detail on the campsite - You can hire a full size fridge for your stay (which we did) - great if you are in a tent so you don't have to rely on freezer packs etc.
They campsite has a small bar / restaurant, an tourist information booth, a shop (where they deliver fresh bread, croissants etc for breakfast every day), wifi, a great pool, water slide, toddler pool, hot-tub, boules pitch, rope bridges, inflatable castle, trampoline.
The site was generally quiet and is well spread out - you never feel on top of each other with hedges and trees separating the pitches.
For those who want a bit more luxury than a tent they also hire chalets and yurts.
All in all - one of the best campsites we have stayed on - everything you could need, clean and very reasonably priced, and based in a really nice area with lots to do. We would highly recommend this site.
