Holiday 2022

We have a deal of things to say about this place which would probably take too long however if we collate in chronological order our experiences this may well help others in deciding their holiday destination .
We had travelled through France from the UK by car, when we arrived we reported to the reception... which was manned by the most helpful representatives which proved the same throughout our 2 weeks stay, unfortunately this cannot be said for the rest of the campsite & its staff.
After checking we were directed to our lodge, a 2 storey tent probably the best pitch in the site, located on the beach side of the railway line accessed via an underpass. we proceeded to our pitch to find vehicle access was limited due to other campers crammed in like tinned sardines, on one occasion we witnessed a tree being heavily pruned to allow a client access to his pitch with his camping car. Therefore access to unload was extremely difficult, with little assistance from the staff.
We managed to get access with our vehicle , unloaded all our gear & parked up. The tent was very spacious & well equipped but very close to others infact that close to the tent opposite you could easily share each others breakfast in the morning.
Despite the great reception staff the remainder of the site was not manned the same, an example the first night we decided to use the restaurant, we sat down waiting to order which in Span is a wait.........!!!!!! a waiter finally came took our order returning a good half an hour later to set the table, he proceeded without even cleaning the table which was particularly dirty, until I suggested it should be cleaned. The food finally came which I have to say was sub-standard.
All this being during our arrival we were dismayed however determined to proceed & enjoy our holiday we knuckled down & got on with it.
We did have some great experiences, seeing Barcelona play Man City at the Nou Camp, a day trip to Girona a medieval town 40km north west, a lovely beech we fond further north Santa Christiana , Santi's Beech bar very close to the site on the beech , day trip to Barcelona seeing the Sagrada Familia.
Nevertheless the campsite was over crowded, all accommodations far too close to each other, & too small, the facilities too busy & packed with people, a campsite with a business model of maximising capacity for the most profit, somewhere we would certainly never return.
The final insult was our youngest boy of 11 years developed a cough & lost his voice, we took him to the local doctors & he was prescribed some antibiotics, my wife & myself soon came down with the same.........Spanish Flue..... too many people in too small a place .......our holiday nightmare was complete !!!!!!
