Great but busy site, great for kids and beach lovers

We have just returned from 8 days at this site, so hopefully can offer some useful information and tips.
THE GOOD NEWS: this is a big, lively and busy site. It is great for kids as there is loads to do. The swimming area and water slides were a favourite. Yes it's busy and there are queues for the... slides, but they were never too long and the kids didn't mind. Yes, there is also the usual over-demand for loungers. TOP TIP: go at lunch time as many people head back to their accomodation for lunch and free up some loungers. The beach is magnificent. Miles of sand, beautiful, clean and well patrolled. The sea however, can be rough and there are strong currents. I would be careful with kids/less strong swmmers. Really recommend only swimming when there are lifeguards present and between the flags as this tends to be safest. Other highlights are the beach bar, horseriding for the kids and nearby Montalivet for the market. TOP TIP: market is only really open in the morning and lunch time. We kept missing it going in the afternoon.
ACCOMODATION: bog standard, mobile homes you find in these places. No better or worse than we've had before. Lack of utlensils, worth bringing an extra sharp knife, a a bottle opener and a mug! Also, for those old Europcamp customers, there are no longer eurocamp branded accomodation or represneatives on the site and so I don't feel you get the warm welcome or service that you used to get.
FOOD/DRINK: Here is where the campsire struggles. The food is hit and miss and annoyingly difficult to get hold of. The restaurant is actually quite good, but TOP TIP: you must book. Impossible to get into otherwise. But it is nice once you do get a table and the staff really good. The pizza counter is also OK (not the best pizzas we've ever had) but queues are long. Go early and you may be OK. The main bar is terrible - absolutely horrible service by bar staff who are so unfriendly they seem to hate all customers. Went for a pint there once and they just seemed very hostile. Not sure why. Luckily, there is a great little bar on the square which serves really nice wine and pints of local ale (very nice IPA). It's also run by a lovely lady who speaks english and is very friendly - go there and avoid the main bar. We ended up cooking a lot and the shop on site is quite good so you can get what you need there..
OTHER: everyone complains about the WIFI and understandably so. They charge and it doesn't work. However, recommend giving your devices a break and just go to the beach. The only other issue with this is sometimes the card machines on the site don't work so make sure you cash.
OVERALL: this is a great site that is busy but actually functions very well. Highlight is the beach which is only 5 mins away so you can come and go as you like. Sunsets there are amazing. Nearby Montalivet is also a really nice town. Would recommend if you have kids
